MP and Schools Minister, Jacqui Smith, impressed by Johnson and Matrix fitness equipment

The contract to supply fitness equipment in the new gym building at Trinity High School, Redditch was awarded to Johnson Health Tech UK Ltd. The newly extended gym will be available for use by both pupils and staff.

JHTUK supplied a mixture of cardio vascular and strength equipment from their two commercial brands Johnson and Matrix. JHTUK’s Education Sector Manager commented “Johnson Health Tech has designed high quality non-intimidating fitness equipment, which is visually exciting, easy to use and comfortable. The beauty is its simplicity which makes our machines more appealing to first time users. Efficient manufacturing processes enable Johnson to be offered at prices most competitors will find difficult to compete with. We offer great value and comprehensive servicing.”

The gym was officially opened by Jacqui Smith, MP and Schools Minister, who commented that she had heard about the good work of JHTUK in the schools sector and hoped to see more facilities of this standard in the future.

Headmistress, Marian Barton gave her reasons for choosing Matrix and Johnson “Johnson Health Tech were the only supplier of fitness equipment to regularly support specialist schools events, this gave us confidence in their understanding of what we needed to make this project a success”.

Dave White, Head of PE and a key decision maker in the selection process added “we spoke to other specialist schools that had used Johnson Health Tech in the past and had no concerns about using the only supplier with a team dedicated to the needs of schools. Our decision has proven to be correct in every way, staff training, extended warranties and at the right price”.
