JOHNSON HEALTH TECH UK LTD
NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTRE IN CHESTER
IS OFFICIALLY OPENED BY ENGLAND FOOTBALLER STEVEN GERRARD
Johnson Health Tech, one of the UK’s leading home and commercial fitness equipment suppliers, has opened its UK flagship business centre and showroom in Chester. The 5,500 square foot showpiece fitness centre at the site of the former Harley Davidson showroom in Boughton will be targeting the commercial market, as well as the high end home fitness market.
The Johnson Fitness showroom is stocked with more than Ł500,000 worth of state-of-the-art, US-designed fitness equipment, including exercise bikes, cross-trainers, treadmills and multi-gym units representing the latest styles and technologies from world-leading brands.
Whilst sales literature and well-informed sales people may do an excellent job – Johnson Health Tech believes that there is no substitute for giving the customer the opportunity to view the full range of products available and let the products speak for themselves.
A spokesperson from Johnson commented “The official opening of the Johnson Fitness business centre was a tremendous success and our VIP guests, some of whom are very influential in the commercial fitness industry, particularly enjoyed the special appearance of Liverpool and England footballer, Steven Gerrard. The Liverpool captain took time out from his Wold Cup training to sign and present Liverpool and England shirts to representatives of charities local to Chester and Stoke-on-Trent. Then, assisted by the Mayor and Mayoress of Chester, performed the cutting of the ribbon and officially declared the store open.”
“It also presented a massive opportunity for a patient of the Tree Tops hospice, which is situated close to the Stoke-on-Trent based Head Quarters. Football fanatic Simon Pettinger achieved his dream of meeting one of his all-time heroes. The 16 year old cancer patient was personally invited by Johnson Health Tech to meet the England football star and accept a signed England shirt from his hero. Simon, who has terminal cancer, was not going to let slip the opportunity to meet his boyhood idol. He said “I jumped at the chance, I am a ridiculously massive Liverpool fan.” Pictures taken at the meeting are now plastered all over Simon’s bedroom wall.”
Jamie Burton, managing director of Johnson Health Tech said “we knew how much it would mean to Simon and his family to met Steven and we are delighted to have been able to arrange the meeting.”
Commenting on the successful progress of the company in the UK market JHTUK’s spokesperson said “Until this year, the company has concentrated more upon building its reputation in the commercial sector and gradually becoming an accepted contender. Having now established the company’s credentials in the domestic, retail and now commercial sectors, the group is turning its attention to a more aggressive marketing policy and exploring ways of raising its global profile still further."
